Rangers picked up another win under Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
The Gers have now won three games in a row across all competitions under their new Dutch manager.
Kemar Roofe struck a late penalty last night to give Rangers a 1-0 win away to Hibernian.
Some of the pre-match talk centered around how Van Bronckhorst had omitted Ryan Jack from his squad entirely.
The Scotland international hasn’t had an easy time of it with injuries during his time at Ibrox.
But Van Bronckhorst claims ‘he is fine’ and only left out due to being unfit.
He told BBC Sport before the game: “He’s fine of course, he’s been out for a while and he’s working hard to get back to fitness levels.”
Benefit
It’s absolutely in Van Bronckhorst’s interest to get Jack as fit as possible – and as soon as possible.
Some Rangers fans might argue that he hasn’t looked the same player as he once did under Steven Gerrard as of late.
But form is temporary and class is permanent – and the formeer Aberdeen midfielder is a classy operator.
Not only that, but he’s one of the leaders at Ibrox and having him on the pitch again will only benefit Van Bronckhorst’s side going forward.
With last night’s victory, Rangers moved seven points clear of Celtic but a home win over Hearts tonight would reduce the gap to four yet again.
