Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has raved about Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah in The Liverpool Echo.
Guardiola has said that Liverpool and Egypt international forward Salah is exceptional and incredible.
The former Barcelona manager made the comments about the £34 million star (BBC Sport) ahead of the FA Community Shield match between Liverpool and Manchester City on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola on Liverpool star Mohamed Salah
Guardiola told The Liverpool Echo about Salah: “I’m not saying anything new because we know it. He’s exceptional, an incredible threat. We try to win the game.”
World-class star
In our view, Mohamed Salah is a world-class footballer who will be massive for Liverpool this season.
The 30-year-old did not have a particularly great second half of the season in 2021-22, but he still ended up with 23 goals and 13 assists in the Premier League.

Salah signed a new contract with Liverpool earlier this summer, and he will be very motivated to get back to his best.
Liverpool will be aiming to win the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League this season.
For the Reds to be successful in that quest, in our opinion, Salah will have to be at his best.
Manchester City will start the season as favourites for the Premier League title, but Liverpool will push them all the way.
