Michael Owen and Slaven Bilic praised Liverpool duo, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, following their 1-0 win over West Ham United on Saturday at Anfield, as they told Premier League Productions.
Former Hammers boss Bilic claimed that Mane, who scored the only goal of the game yesterday, showed the hunger in his game, alongside the Premier League’s top goalscorer.
Whilst Mane added to his Premier League goal tally for the season, it was an evening to forget for Salah.
The Egypt flyer was snatching at his chances yesterday, and after a frustrating game, he was subbed by Jurgen Klopp.
But both Owen and Bilic still praised Salah, including his partner in crime, for the qualities in their game.
“The great players, they are always focused,” said Bilic. “You see the reaction to the goal, Mane, how hungry he is in front goal and Salah.
“He’s not waiting and is always focused. He always wants to make that run. And that’s the difference.”
Owen added: “Mane is electric. He is always scanning that area. And he gave Liverpool a great start.”

It’s going to be interesting to see how Klopp manages his thriving and now bulked-up forward line.
Luis Diaz, Sadio Mane and Salah were the trio selected against West Ham, with Roberto Firmino still injured and Diogo Jota coming off from the bench.
But with the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup matches to come, Klopp will need to rotate.
All in all, they are three Premier League games away from that all-important tie against Manchester City at the Etihad.
