Tottenham Hotspur bought Victor Wanyama for a much smaller fee than Arsenal paid for Granit Xhaka.
Tottenham Hotspur fans believe that they proved that they are more astute in the transfer window than Arsenal by purchasing Victor Wanyama from Southampton last summer.
Spurs snapped up Wanyama for a fee of £11 million, and he has made a brilliant start to life at White Hart Lane.
The Kenyan midfielder has forced his way into Mauricio Pochettino’s starting line-up with a series of brilliant displays, and he has offered great protection to Tottenham’s defensive.

Granit Xhaka, meanwhile, was Arsenal’s most expensive signing of the previous transfer window – but he has found things more difficult in the Premier League.
Xhaka was caught out while playing for Arsenal against Bournemouth last night, and he gave away a penalty during the contest.
The Gunners ended up turning things around after going 3-0 down to claim a point against the Cherriers, but Spurs fans believe that Xhaka’s display was further proof of Daniel Levy’s eye for a bargain.
As things stand, Arsenal are ahead of Tottenham in the Premier League table – but Pochettino’s side could leapfrog their North London rivals if they are able to beat Chelsea this evening.
