Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted to a training clip of their winger Jack Clarke.
The 20-year-old, who was out on loan last season, will be hoping to break through Tottenham’s first team during this campaign.
Ever since Spurs snapped up his ball-carrying talents in 2019, he has found life tough in North London and struggled to make his mark.
But it seems as though Clarke has been working hard ahead of the new campaign.
Luckily for him, he has a new manager to impress in Nuno Espirito Santo, so he can go charging in on the front foot in pre-season.
Some Spurs fans are hoping Nuno does give the Leeds academy product the chance because they feel he has been unlucky.
In truth, there’s no reason why Nuno shouldn’t give him minutes because it’s not like the senior players were getting their supporters off their sofas last season.
From Lucas Moura to Steven Bergwijn, there’s no reason why either should be given more of a chance than Clarke, other than the fact that they are more senior players and have previously arrived for big money.
Both players struggled with that consistency last season, but it’s a common theme throughout this squad.
Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see if Nuno does inject some freshness, lack of fear and youth into this declining Tottenham squad ahead of the new campaign because, in truth, they need it.
