Houssem Aouar has excited Arsenal supporters after replying to one of their supporters.
An Arsenal fan took it upon himself to tweet Aouar every day, after rumours of Mikel Arteta’s interest emerged.
Arsenal have been linked with the Lyon midfielder for almost a year now, and Calcio Mercato reported last week that the Gunners were still keen.
Aouar has now tweeted the Arsenal supporter, who took it upon himself to keep messaging him.
And Arsenal fans have responded in kind by urging the Frenchman to join them.
Arsenal are still thought to be on the hunt for a central midfielder, but whether Aouar is in their price-range is up for debate.
Arsenal are thought to need to sell before buying this summer, with Aouar likely to be an expensive purchase from Lyon.
If the Gunners could land the 23-year-old he would be an exciting addition to their squad though, as his technical ability could make Arteta’s side a much more dynamic attacking threat.
