Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club posted a video of Ben White on their official account.
The footage in question shows the Brighton centre-back’s volleyed screamer against Charlton on the final day of the 2019/20 Championship campaign.
It was posted after Leeds asked supporters to name their favourite goal of 2020.
In truth, the Elland Road faithful had plenty of options to choose from.
They could’ve named any of the 30 goals already scored by Marcelo Bielsa’s men in the Premier League this season – they are the division’s fourth-highest scorers.
Luke Ayling’s flying volley against Huddersfield also springs to mind, which send a packed Elland Road into raptures back in March.
Nevertheless, you can see why White’s stunning strike was chosen by one supporter.
Perhaps there is also an element of romance about the goal.
After all, it was the Englishman’s final appearance for Leeds before his season-long loan in Yorkshire came to an end.
The 23-year-old is now back at Brighton, where he has started 15 Premier League games for the Seagulls this season.
However, judging by the replies to Leeds’ tweet, supporters still hold the defender in high regard.
