Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino boldly substituted Lionel Messi on Sunday night – and Tottenham Hotspur fans want him back.
Tottenham lost 3-0 to Chelsea on Sunday afternoon, falling to three second half goals from Thiago Silva, N’Golo Kante and Antonio Rudiger.
Nuno Espirito Santo already finds himself under a little pressure after just three goals in five Premier League games.
Some would love to see Mauricio Pochettino back in the fold – and believe there is a real possibility for it to happen down the line.
Pochettino incident with Messi
Pochettino is now in charge of Paris Saint-Germain, who signed Lionel Messi this summer.
Adding Messi to Neymar and Kylian Mbappe seems like a dream, but it hasn’t quite clicked yet.
PSG were drawing 1-1 with Lyon on Sunday night. With 15 minutes to play, Pochettino made a bold decision.
Off came Messi, arguably the greatest player we will see. On came Achraf Hakimi – a strange change with PSG chasing a goal.
Messi looked unhappy at being hooked, and didn’t particularly fancy a handshake with Pochettino.
PSG did end up winning as Mauro Icardi bagged the winner with just seconds to spare.

Tottenham fans react to Pochettino situation
Footage of Pochettino substituting Messi has gone all over the world, and Tottenham fans have unsurprisingly pounced on it.
Some believe that Pochettino will be gone by December or January, believing that the egos at PSG – such as Messi – will end up forcing him out.
Others think that Pochettino will be coming back to Tottenham very soon, even if Nuno hasn’t had all that long in the job.
That’s a little premature in terms of a Nuno exit, but seeing Messi so unhappy with his substitution has left Tottenham fans hoping for Pochettino’s return.
