Speaking on the Talking Transfers Podcast, Graeme Bailey has been discussing Harry Winks amid ongoing links to Everton.
The Tottenham striker is seemingly on his way out of north London this summer, and for the longest time, Everton have been touted as his potential next destination.
According to Bailey, Winks has now decided that he wants to join Everton, with the journalist stating that the midfielder is ‘destined for Goodison Park’.

Bailey spoke about Winks
“He has an awful lot of options out there, Conte has told him he can leave, he has told him he can compete for a place as well, but he knows he’ll be on the bench, especially after Bissouma came in,” Bailey said.
“Harry Winks is tempted to play for Frank Lampard. Lampard is very persuasive, if anyone is going to get the best out of him that could be him. We’re going to see someone like Allan move out of Everton as well and Winks is a good replacement.
“Can he recapture that form that saw Southgate pick him so often? So yeah, he’s destined for Goodison, he’s chosen that’s the place he wants to go. I don’t think he’ll be a part of the Richarlison deal, but you will see Winks go the other way.”

Decent addition
If Everton sign Winks it can’t be described as anything less than a decent addition.
The Toffees need to improve after a torrid 2021/22 campaign and signing and England international who has started a Champions League final is a surefire way to do that.
Yes, Winks isn’t the biggest or most exciting signing Everton have ever made, but he’s a solid footballer who will improve this struggling side.
Winks should certainly be a starter for this Everton team, and if he can rediscover his best form, he’ll be a very handy addition.
