Speaking on Tottenham Hotspur’s YouTube channel, Spider-man No Way Home star Tom Holland has been speaking about some of Spurs’ players, including Hugo Lloris.

The Hollywood megastar is a Spurs supporter and he teamed up with the club to play a game with Heung-Min Son.

The pair were tasked with choosing the Tottenham equivalent of a number of Avengers, and he claims that Hugo Lloris is just like Captain America.

What’s Holland said about Lloris.

Holland had a chat with Son about who they think Spurs’ equivalent of Steve Rogers is.

“Captain America, a born leader, honest, noble and always dependable. I think it’s one of two players,” Holland said.

“I think just in my mind is one player,” Heung Min-Son said.

“Hugo? yeah, he’s been there for so long. 10 years. So Hugo is Captain America,” Holland concluded.

Perfect skipper

Captain America is often seen as the leader of The Avengers, and Lloris is certainly a born leader in the same vein.

He’s been Tottenham’s captain for a number of years, and he’s also captained France to World Cup glory in the past.

Fans of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier may have noted that Harry Kane looks a lot like the new Captain America in the past, but when it comes to being a reliable, noble leader, Lloris is the man at Spurs.

Who knows? Perhaps the Frenchman will be cast in a Marvel film in the future. After all, we’ve seen other sportsmen handed roles in the past with WWE star Batista and UFC legend Georges St-Pierre both involved in the MCU.
