Gabby Agbonlahor has urged Kieran Tierney to stay put at Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and snub a rumoured transfer to Real Sociedad.
Whilst Arsenal as a club have progressed during these past 12 months and are looking to go again ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
Someone like Kieran Tierney has stood still, as he has watched the likes of Oleksandr Zinchenko and now Jurrien Timber play ahead of him.
As a result, the future of the £25 million Scotland star (Sky Sports) has come into question, including a possible move to Spanish side, Real Sociedad, but Agbonlahor made it clear ‘he is better than that’, as he told talkSPORT (09/08/23 at 8:50 pm).
Given that Arsenal are back in the Champions League this season. Will Tierney see his game time improve, if he decides to stay put?
Former Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor certainly thinks so because he feels that the 26-year-old should be playing ‘every week’.

“Don’t you think Tierney is better than that (move to Real Sociedad),” said Agbonlahor. “He’s a good player.
“I think this season, if you look at the Community Shield, Timber, the new signing played at left-back. He looks good. You have Zinchenko to come back as well.
“He should be playing every week, Tierney. Not now and again.”

Tierney should stay at Arsenal
Yes, Timber played at left-back during Arsenal’s Community Shield over Manchester City, but more than likely, he will contend for the right-back spot.
If that’s the case, then the Dutch star will be coming into midfield from the right flank, it will then allow the man on the left, in this case, Tierney, to provide the width on the other side.
That wasn’t possible last season because Ben White can’t play that role, so stay on board Tierney because the minutes will be back in your tank before you know it.
