Everton are reportedly set to sign Malaga forward Sandro.
Malaga forward Sandro shoots
Pundit Terry Gibson has told Sky Sports that he thinks Sandro Ramirez would be a ‘top signing’ for a Premier League club as he closes in on a move to Everton.
Sandro, 21, had come up through Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy having left hometown club Las Palmas in 2009, but he found his path to the first team blocked at the Camp Nou.
The versatile forward – who can play out wide or up front – hit seven goals in 32 games for Barcelona, but was allowed to leave for free last summer as he moved on to join Malaga.

Sandro has responded in style, smashing 14 goals in 30 La Liga games whilst also notching two assists, starring for the Andalusian side in what may prove to be his one and only season with the club.
According to Sky Sports, Sandro is now set for a move to Everton, with the Toffees activating his £5million release clause as Ronald Koeman looks to boost his attacking options this summer.
Sandro Ramirez (#19)
With Romelu Lukaku potentially leaving this summer and Koeman keen for more goals from other areas, Sandro could fit the bill perfectly – but fans may not be too familiar with him as a player.
Now, pundit Terry Gibson has told Sky Sports that Sandro always had potential at Barcelona, but he is finally living up to his billing having been ‘sensational’ since joining Malaga.
Sandro Ramirez at Barcelona
Gibson described Sandro as ‘quick and direct’ whilst praising his finishing prowess and dead ball ability, making him a ‘top signing’ for a Premier League club – and that should excite Everton fans.
“He’s a player that we knew had potential at Barcelona, but it’s been confirmed since he moved to Malaga,” said Gibson. “I think it’s clear that with a buy-out clause of around 10m euros, a player that scores 15 goals in a La Liga season, he’s been sensational for Malaga.
“He’s quick, direct, a very good finisher, a good taker of set pieces as well, and he has shown his true credentials since he’s been at Malaga. It’s tough on Malaga, but they’ve had a good season out of him having not paid anything for him, and he would be another top signing for a top Premier League club,” he added.
