Harry Kane has told Tottenham Hotspur’s official Youtube channel that Dele Alli has impressed him in training recently.
Alli has now started Tottenham’s last three Premier League games, after being left out in the cold by Jose Mourinho.
The attacking midfielder has shown real flashes of quality and his performance in Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Wolves yesterday was arguably his finest so far.
Alli was actually unlucky not to claim an assist, as he sent Kane through on goal with a brilliant pass, but the England captain fluffed his lines when one on one and hit the post.
Even so, Kane was full of compliments for his resurgent Tottenham teammate after the game.
He said: “He’s been great. He’s been ready for his opportunity again. He’s been working hard behind the scenes at the training ground and in the gym.
“He’s looking good and that’s what we need.”

Alli looks set to start for Tottenham in their next match now too, with the playmaker just starting to find some rhythm.
His recent showings should at least have proven to Tottenham’s new boss that he still holds a significant value to the squad.
And the hope at Spurs will surely be that Alli can build on his recent showings and take the momentum into next campaign, when he could have a far more vital role to play.
