Aaron Ramsey has told Sky Sports that Tottenham defender Ben Davies has been ‘brilliant’ for Wales over the years.
On Saturday, Wales recorded a 5-1 win over Belarus in their World Cup qualifier and Davies got on the scoresheet for his country.
Whilst the Spurs left-back has been a regular for his country for several years now, this was the first time he found the back of the net.
Davies’ goal came via a corner when the ball managed to brush his shoulder as he went for a header.
There may have been some element of fortune involved in the Tottenham man’s goal, but, at the end of the day, they all count.
Ramsey was the star of the show over the weekend, as he netted a brace during such a crucial match, as he shared his brief thoughts on Davies scoring.
“Full credit to him,” said Ramsey. “He has been brilliant for Wales over the years and he deserved that.”

The role Davies played for Wales over the weekend was pretty interesting and one that has perhaps caught the eye of Antonio Conte.
He was used on the left side of a back three, with Liverpool’s Neco Williams, who is a natural right-back, playing the left wing-back role.
Perhaps that is something for Davies going forward at Spurs because many would probably back Sergio Reguilon to play ahead of him in North London.
Either way, he is showcasing to his manager, whether it be as a left wing-back or in a back three, he can operate both jobs at a solid standard.
