HITC Sport spoke to three West Ham United supporters ahead of the winter transfer window.

West Ham United look to be turning things around under David Moyes, but that’s unlikely to stop the Scot wanting to chop and change the squad he inherited from Slaven Bilic at the first opportunity.
So who should we expect to leave the London Stadium in January? HITC Sport spoke to three knowledgeable Hammers to find out…

Do West Ham need to sell to buy in January? No, I don’t think so. Our net spend of about £4 million (something like that) in the summer suggests there’s still plenty left in the kitty for January.
In what positions are they over-stocked? Can you ever be overstocked with players when you’re in a relegation fight? I think at the moment the balance of the squad is fine, we just need to improve certain areas.
Which player do you most fear losing in January? Manuel Lanzini. I don’t think he’ll go in January but the fear is always there. I was convinced the club wouldn’t sell [Dimitri] Payet last January and look what happened.
Which player would you most like to see the back of? Diafra Sakho. He quite clearly wants to leave and I think it was a mistake not allowing him to do so in the summer when he was desperate for a move. He’s becoming a bad egg in the dressing room and needs to leave now.
Which players do you expect to leave West Ham in January? Definitely Diafra Sakho but then after that, I don’t think we can afford to let anyone else leave. We just need to sign 3 or 4 players to improve a few areas but we’ll still need the depth, particularly given our history with injuries and the relegation fight we’re going to be in until May.

Does your team need to sell to buy in January? I think there will be a couple of departures but not necessarily to facilitate incomings.
In what positions are your team over-stocked? Up front in terms of numbers and on the left.
Which player do you most fear losing in January? Probably [Javier] Hernandez. He’s not cup tied for Europe and there have been murmurs he wants to move to Spain to be near his partner.
Which player would you most like to see the back of? Andy Carroll. He’s injury prone and dictates the way we play too much when he starts. He gives his all but it’s time to move on now and recoup some of the money we have spent on him over the last few years. It’s no coincidence we have improved since he has been out of the team.
Which players do you expect to leave West Ham in January? Sakho and [Andre] Ayew could well be on their way as Sakho will leave for free in the summer if not. Shame as he has a great goalscoring record for us.

Do West Ham need to sell to buy in January? No, but I would like to see us ship out Caroll, [Jose] Fonte and possibly even Sakho.
In what positions are they over-stocked? We have plenty of centre-halves so I would like to see Fonte moved on. He’s not been a good signing at all.
Which player do you most fear losing in January? Lanzini.
Which player would you most like to see the back of? Fonte and Carroll – I really can’t split the two.
Which players do you expect to leave West Ham in January? Reece Oxford, although Moyes appears to want a closer look at him, and Andy Carroll.
