Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after seeing a photo of Nat Phillips in action against Wolves on Monday night.

The Reds managed to record a 1-0 win after Diogo Jota came back to haunt his former club at Molineux.

However, Phillips – who has been a revelation of late – was spotted doing something familiar during the game.

The 23-year-old was seen heading the ball in a duel with Fabio Silva, although it was far from conventional.

Liverpool’s No.47 was spotted heading the ball while it was on the end of the 18-year-old’s foot – he easily could’ve been kicked in the head when entering this duel.

The image sums Phillips up.

In a recent interview with Sport Bible, the centre-back said he gets really wound up when he loses a header, which is probably why he was happy to stick his head right next to Silva’s studs!

It’s great to see such a no-nonsense player step up for Liverpool, and help them grind out back-to-back clean sheets.

After both starring in the 2-0 win over RB Leipzig, Phillips and Ozan Kabak deserve to stay in Jürgen Klopp’s starting XI – no more rotating at the back.

Let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about the photo…
