Mark Lawrenson wonders how long Scott Sinclair will be a Celtic player.

Pundit Mark Lawrenson told BBC’s Football Focus (22/10/2016) that he wonders when Celtic winger Scott Sinclair will choose to return to English football.
Sinclair, 27, was touted as one of English football’s top young players having come up through the ranks at Bristol Rovers, but his big move to Chelsea saw him fail to progress at Stamford Bridge.

After six loan moves away, Sinclair joined his former Chelsea coach Brendan Rodgers at Swansea City, and his 36 goals in 91 games suggested that he was on his way to fulfilling his potential.
However, Sinclair chose to leave South Wales for Manchester City, and got lost in the shuffle at the Etihad Stadium before moving on to Aston Villa – and after their relegation to the Championship at the end of last season, he moved again, this time to reunite with Rodgers at Celtic.
So far, it’s been a match made in heaven; Sinclair has racked up eight goals in just 15 games for the Bhoys, and he’s looked a class above anything else in the Scottish Premiership to date thanks to his blistering pace and quality end product.

Sinclair looks to be enjoying his football at Celtic, and the Bhoys supporters appear to love him already, but one pundit is left wondering when the winger will choose to head back to England.
Mark Lawrenson told today’s episode of Football Focus that he thinks Sinclair is at something of a crossroads, in the sense that he’s been superb in Scotland, but struggled at City and Villa in the Premier League, so should he continue to star in Scotland or have another go in the Premier League?

The former Liverpool defender added that he wonders when, where and why Sinclair comes back to England, suggesting it’s something of a formality that he will end up south of the border again.
“I think he’s at a crossroads,” said Lawrenson. “I think he’s doing really well at Celtic, but you’re looking at a lad who started almost half the game in the Premier League at Aston Villa, and look where they’ve ended up. He looks really good in Scottish football, but it’s when, and where, and why he comes back to English football,” he added.
Do you think Sinclair should stay at Celtic long-term rather than heading back to England?
