Some Liverpool fans on social media are getting very excited after the Reds were linked with a move for West Ham United’s Declan Rice.
The England international has long-been coveted by some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League, namely Chelsea, and now it seems as though the Reds have joined the race.
Liverpool fans are understandably very excited about potentially signing a player of Rice’s calibre, and it doesn’t take a footballing genius to understand why.
The 22-year-old is an incredibly talented midfielder, able to play in a number of different roles, including at centre-back, and with Liverpool having a number of issues at the heart of their defence as of late, a player with that Rice’s versatility will certainly be a welcomed addition.
Of course, landing Rice is easier said than done, West Ham have worked very hard to keep hold of him so far, and Fabrizio Romano says his heart is set on joining Chelsea, but as ever in football, things can change very quickly.
One thing is for sure, if Liverpool can complete a deal for Rice, it will be a very popular move amongst the fans.
