Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media have been reacting after it was reported that they could sign Adama Traore in a deal that could see Matt Doherty go the other way.

What’s the story with Traore and Doherty?

According to The Athletic, Spurs are keen to bring Traore to north London and to convert him into a wing-back.

Of course, getting the Spaniard out of Wolves is easier said than done, but Spurs could apparently bolster the deal by offering Doherty alongside a cash sum.

Doherty has, of course, previously played for Wolves, so Spurs are hoping that the Midlands club will relish the chance to bring the defender back to Molineux.

Good move for all parties

This sounds as though it could be a great move for all involved.

Spurs have wanted Traore for a long time now. Doherty is barely getting a game and flourished during his first spell at Wolves, while Traore himself is struggling to find his best form in Wolverhampton, failing to score or assist this season.

Conte plans on converting him into a wing-back, and that could end up being a stroke of genius. After all, Conte has tasted success with a similar strategy in the past with Victor Moses.
