Tim Sherwood has lauded the impact Juventus loanee, Dejan Kulusevski, has had at Tottenham and stated he has been ‘absoutley fantastic’, as he told MatchDay Extra on Premier League Productions.
The TV pundit also praised Tottenham’s Sporting Director, Fabio Paratici, for bringing in the ‘absolutely fantastic’ 21-year-old to the club.
On Saturday, Spurs recorded a thumping 4-0 win at Aston Villa, with Kulusevski doubling his side’s lead in the second half and also feeding Heung-Min Son for his hat-trick goal.
That’s 11 games, three goals and six assists for Tottenham’s January signing, who is proving to be one of the best purchases of, not just the winter transfer window, but also the summer transfer window.
Paratici and Antonio Conte, who were previously at Juventus, played a huge part in the Sweden international joining the club, as Sherwood mentioned that fact and shared what he likes about the player.
“This boy also seems to be joining in, Kulusevski,” said Sherwood. “Always has a good touch. Seems to pick the right pass at the right time.
“He is always looking up – takes his time. Never hurried. Plays at his own pace and gives you the ball when he’s finished with it and gave Sonny one on the plate for his hat-trick.
“He has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water. He is 21-years-old and they have an option to buy him at £29 million. When he first came, you thought ‘well, it might be a lot of money’. It is an absolute snip, at the moment.
“This kid has an eye for a goal. Settled in with world-class players up front with him in Son and Kane. He’s enjoying his time. Without a doubt, they will trigger the option – he’s an asset to the football club and will only get better. He’s been absolutely outstanding. We have to give credit to Antonio Conte, Paratici the Sporting Director.”

Tottenham’s business during the winter transfer window could prove to be the difference-maker in them securing Champions League football.
West Ham, Manchester United and Arsenal didn’t bring in any players, whilst Spurs added Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur to their ranks.
It has clearly made a difference compared to West Ham and Arsenal because they are lacking that depth.
For Man United, it’s just a case of the club being in a mess, as they proved when they were beaten at Everton over the weekend.
