Cedric told Arsenal’s Instagram story that Granit Xhaka is Arsenal’s ‘hardest working in training’.
The right-back turned left-back stated that Xhaka is ‘always fighting’ and someone who is ‘always there’ for his teammates.
Xhaka isn’t exactly a popular figure in North London and he has had his fair share of up and down moments with the Arsenal supporters.
But Mikel Arteta likes what he sees from the combative midfielder, as Cedric praised Xhaka for his efforts away from the camera.
“So, the hardest working in training, it’s a hard one,” said Cedric. “We have a few, to be honest.
“I would maybe go for Granit. He is always there. He is always fighting.”
Before Arteta joined Arsenal, it seemed as though Xhaka’s career was heading one way and that was through the exit doors.
But a lot has changed since then and Xhaka is once again a key figure in the middle of the park for Arsenal.
Whilst he still has his moments in an Arsenal shirt – sending-off against Burnley – he is still trying his best to change his fortunes around at the club.
