‘He’s already world class’: Some Liverpool fans hail 17-yr-old Edwards signing’s performance

On-loan Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott keeps going from strength to strength.

The Reds loaned the 17-year-old attacker to Blackburn Rovers in the Championship this past summer.

It’s a difficult division to cut your teeth in, especially when you’re so young, but the Liverpool prospect is proving to be more than comfortable with the Championship after another glittering display.

Rovers could only draw 1-1 with Stoke City at Ewood Park, but it was Elliott who helped his loan club salvage a point with a brilliant assist for John Buckley on 76 minutes.

In doing so, he now has four goals and seven assist in 19 outings for the second-tier side this season – and, more impressively, he is the most productive Under-18 player in Europe.

Liverpool, whose sporting director Michael Edwards signed him in 2019, clearly have a massive gem on their hands.
