Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has given his verdict on Jorginho after the match against Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United.
The Gunners hammered Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening.
So, what has Mikel Arteta said about Arsenal midfielder Jorginho? Let’s take a look.
Mikel Arteta praises Arsenal midfielder Jorginho
Well, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been speaking about Jorginho, and he has been hugely impressed by the former Chelsea midfielder.
Arteta has said that the Italian midfielder is world class and is a top player. Kai Havertz is of the same opinion as well.
Arsenal boss Arteta made the comments after his side eased past Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Jorginho gave a very assured performance in the middle of the park and was one of the best players on the pitch.

Arteta told Arsenal’s official website about Jorginho: “He’s a top player, especially when the opponents have certain behaviours or certain set-up.
“The way I can imagine the game, he is going to have a big impact, but I think you have to do it at this level and when he’s not playing consistently, credit to him because he was magnificent today, again.”
The Arsenal boss added: “He is certainly [world class] but I think individually today we were outstanding in the way we played and we raised the bar again.
“Newcastle are a top side, they are really well-coached and it’s very difficult to do what we’ve done today, to have them in the positions and to make them suffer like we’ve done, so credit to the boys.”
My View: Jorginho’s experience vital for Arsenal in title quest
In my opinion, Arsenal midfielder Jorginho will be a very important player for the Gunners in the final weeks of the season.
Arsenal are aiming to beat Liverpool and Manchester City to the Premier League title this campaign, and I think that Jorginho will have a big say in that.
The 32-year-old Italian midfielder has a wealth of experience. He won the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League with Chelsea and the European Championship with Italy.
Jorginho is a winner and is a very good player in the middle of the park. He knows how to slow things down when the game becomes hector and gives Arsenal control.
