Some Everton fans on social media have been raving over Nathan Broadhead after he scored a hat-trick against Manchester United’s U23s.
The Toffees’ youth side have a number of talented players coming through, and while Thierry Small has been the talk of the town in recent months, it was Broadhead who made headlines on Monday.
The striker led the line against Manchester United, and he did so superbly, netting three goals against the Old Trafford outfit.
Scoring a hat trick against any side at U23 level is impressive, but doing it against Manchester United is always that bit more impressive due to their stature in the game and their reputation of bringing through talented youngsters.
As you can imagine, a hat-trick against Man United has led to a number of Everton fans talking about Broadhead, with some supporters even calling for him to get a chance in the first-team.
The 22-year-old faces stiff competition from the likes of Josh King, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison to get into the side, but if he keeps scoring at this rate for the U23s, you’d have to imagine he’ll catch Carlo Ancelotti’s eye.
