Patrick Bamford has told UMM’s official YouTube channel that his Leeds United teammate, Ezgjan Alioski, is ‘like a kid who has had too much sugar’.

The Leeds striker stated that the 29-year-old is a ‘nutter’ and hyped up all the time – and he didn’t even change when on holiday with the players following the club’s promotion last season.

Alioski is seen as one of the more bubbly and lively characters in the Leeds dressing room, which has seen him become a popular figure with the fans and players.

And Bamford shared what he is like on a day-to-day basis and how he didn’t even change when all the players went on holiday.

“I cannot even put into words what he’s like,” said Bamford. “He’s like a kid, who has had too much sugar all the time.

“He is completely hyped. When we got promoted, we went on holiday, the boys and everyone took their missus.

“I thought ‘Oh, when he’s with his missus, he will be a little bit more calm’. Exactly the same. And the worse thing is that she’s kind of on his level.

“Really good fun. But he’s a nutter.”

It will be interesting to see if Alioski is still at Elland Road next season, with his contract due to expire in the summer.

He’s not a first-team regular but has been used in various roles by Marcelo Bielsa during his time at the club.

Alioski’s character alone is worth him staying in Yorkshire, but given that there isn’t much noise coming out about him extending his stay, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he parts ways with Leeds in the summer.
