Eric Dier has talked up how good Tottenham Hotspur trio Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela and Steven Bergwijn are in training in an interview with the Premier League’s official Youtube channel.

Bergwijn, Moura and Lamela are no longer guaranteed starters at Tottenham and their presence in the squad can get overlooked, with the attacking talent that Spurs now have.

With Tottenham having Gareth Bale, Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane, understandably, the attention is often directed at the high profile trio.

But Dier says that Tottenham do have plenty of other dangerous attacking players, and he says they are hugely challenging to come up against in training.

“There’s no-one worse to train against than Lucas Moura. He’s a nightmare. He’s so fast, so sharp,” Dier said.

“Coco is a nightmare because offensively he’s so good, but when you have the ball he kicks lumps out of you.

“Steven Bergwijn is a player I enjoy to watch in training and in games. He has that Dutch style about him. He’s so good in possession, keeps the ball so well, technically so sound.”

Dier noting that Lamela ‘kicks lumps’ out of his own teammates will come as no shock, as his aggression on the pitch is very evident.

Lamela has a real fiery streak to his game which can make him a very useful option for Tottenham to have when they are looking to defend from the front.

The £26 million Argentine (BBC Sport) has actually been out injured recently, but his return to fitness is expected to come sooner rather than later, in what should be a boost for Spurs’ squad.
