Richard Foster has been singing the praises of former Rangers team-mate Allan McGregor.
Despite turning 39 in January, the Gers goalkeeper remains as important as he ever was for the Ibrox outfit.
Rangers visit Benfica tonight in a Europa League game and McGregor has form for big performances in Portugal.
Back in 2008, the Scotland international was exceptional in helping the light Blues beat Sporting Lisbon to reach the last four of the UEFA Cup, ultimately losing to Zent in the final, and three years later he repeated his heroics against the same team, in the same competition.

But Foster, who played alongside McGregor during a loan spell at Rangers for the 2010-11 campaign, has described his old colleague as a ‘master’ and backed him to do the business once again.
He told The Scottish Sun: “He’s a master of making important saves at key moments. It is easier for a goalkeeper to produce a wonder stop when you are three or four down.
“Greegsy makes them when it is 0-0 or 1-0 and that is the mark of a top class keeper.”
This is a top-of-the-table clash in Lisbon tonight.
Both Rangers and Benfica have won their opening two games in Group D and one side is going to lose their 100 percent start later today.
If McGregor can replicate the heroics he has shown against tonight’s old rivals, however, then the Ibrox outfit have a great chance.
