Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing the West Brom ace.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media today, ahead of his side’s clash with West Brom tomorrow, and raved about the quality of Jay Rodriguez, labelling the striker as a ‘great player’, as quoted by Football.London.
According to the Independent, Pochettino has identified the Baggies forward as one of his primary summer transfer targets, as the Argentine looks to bolster his attacking options at Spurs.
The Daily Mail claim that the 28-year-old could be available for around £12 million this summer, and that would represent excellent value in today’s ludicrously inflated transfer market.

The Lilywhites boss is obviously a big fan of the Baggies ace, having worked with him during their time together at Southampton, so it would be no surprise to see him join the north London outfit this summer.
Pochettino spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference today, and admitted his admiration for Rodriguez, as quoted by Football.London:

“I am so happy for him, he is a lovely person and a great player. After a massive injury he is showing great quality. Maybe it is difficult to show the same level that he was at Southampton, but he is more experienced, more mature and it will be fantastic to see him tomorrow.”
Pochettino will get a first hand look at Rodriguez tomorrow, when Spurs take on West Brom in the Premier League at the Hawthorns, and the 28-year-old will be hoping to remind the Argentine what he is truly capable of.
