The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has been linked with a move to Inter Milan.

Radja Nainggolan of AS Roma looks on during the serie A match between Spal and AS Roma at Stadio Paolo Mazza on April 21, 2018 in Ferrara, Italy.

Inter Milan new-boy Radja Nainggolan spoke to reporters after he was unveiled at the San Siro yesterday, and responded when asked whether he would like Tottenham star Mousa Dembele to join him at the club, as quoted by Italian media outlet Tutto Mercato Web.

The 30-year-old Belgian’s future in north London is uncertain to say the least, but discussions between Spurs and Inter have reached somewhat of an impasse, with the Nerazzurri reluctant to meat Tottenham’s £30 million valuation of the midfielder, according to the Evening Standard.

Dembele joined the Lilywhites from Fulham in the summer of 2012, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £15 million, and he has since gone on to establish himself as one of the club’s most important players.

Every Love Island contestant if they were an England player – World Cup!

Tottenham fans seem to be split over whether selling the Belgium international is the prudent play, although with his powers undeniably on the wane, sanctioning his exit it might just be the best decision from both a footballing and business perspective.

The possibility of him joining Inter might just have been enhanced after his countryman Radja Nainggolan moved to the San Siro in a £33 million deal yesterday, and the Belgian responded when asked whether he would like Dembele to join him, as quoted by Tutto Mercato Web:

Radja Nainggolan of Belgium looks on during the international friendly match between Belgium and Saudi Arabia at the King Baudouin Stadium on March 27, 2018 in Brussels, Belgium.

“Let him play in the World Cup, I’ll not stress. He is a friend, a great player and I’ll not pull him to Inter.”

There is still plenty of time left before the summer transfer window closes, and it would be no surprise to see Dembele link up with his countryman at Inter.
