Gary Neville has told The Football Show that Harry Kane has become a ‘bit of a problem’ for Tottenham Hotspur, as he is so good.
Spurs’s reliance on Kane was highlighted this season, as they have struggled so badly after he was injured in January.
Tottenham did not have any natural replacements for Kane, and when Heung-Min Son also picked up an injury their form nosedived.
Spurs and Jose Mourinho would surely like another number nine to pick from to strengthen in that area, in case such a scenario occurs again.
But Neville thinks that signing another striker is difficult for Tottenham as whoever they target knows that they’ll be playing second fiddle.
“In fact, Kane is a massive positive for Tottenham, but he’s a bit of a problem in the sense that they probably can’t get another centre-forward to go to the club knowing they’ll be on the bench,” he said.

“What is does mean is that when Harry’s gone there’s a big loss – and him and Son are hugely important.”
Tottenham did have Fernando Llorente to cover for Kane last season, and the Spaniard has been missed this term.
Spurs are set to welcome back Kane and Son when the Premier League does return though, which should significantly strengthen them for the final nine games.
