Speaking on a video posted on Tottenham’s Twitter page, Fabio Paratici has been discussing the club’s summer transfer business and the signing of Yves Bissouma.
Bissouma was one of Spurs’ biggest signings of the summer, arriving in a much-anticipated £25m move from Brighton and Hove Albion.
There was a lot of excitement amongst the fanbase when Bissouma arrived, but as of yet he’s not really made his mark in north London.
Paratici has made is clear that adapting to this Antonio Conte team isn’t easy to adapt to, and the Italian was also honest when saying that Bissouma needs to adapt to the style of play within this side.
The Sporting Director stated that Bissouma is unlike any of the other midfielders within the Spurs team, claiming that he may need some time to adapt to his new surroundings.

What’s been said?
Paratici spoke about Bissouma.
“Bissouma has some different skills to our midfielders, he’s more one vs one, technically speaking and he can even shoot from different. He’s a bit different with the skills and he has to enter in our mechanism because the team now is well organised, super organised, so coming in is not easy for the players and they need a bit of time to adapt,” Paratici said.
Unique player
Yves Bissouma is an incredibly unique player who is being asked to play in an incredibly unique system.
Can it work? Of course it can, Bissouma is one of the Premier League’s most talented footballers and Antonio Conte is one of the best coaches in the world, but this isn’t something that is going to gel straight away.
Conte has managed to coach players who didn’t immediately seem like a good fit for his system in the past – just look at how Christian Eriksen got on at Inter Milan, and now he’ll have to do a similar job with Bissouma.
