Ronald Koeman will surely still be looking to strengthen his Everton squad this month.
Andros Townsend’s future with Crystal Palace remains unclear to say the least, with Newcastle United thought to be leading the race to sign him, according to the Mirror.
There is another club in England, however, who would greatly benefit from having the 25-year-old winger amongst their ranks.
Everton have already lost Yannick Bolasie for the season due to a serious injury, and have allowed Gerard Deulofeu to join AC Milan on a season-long loan.
And as a result, they seem to be short in wide attacking areas.

Townsend would be the ideal addition to the Toffees squad, with his direct playing style being really suited to the way in which Ronald Koeman likes his team to play.
The former Newcastle man only moved to Selhurst Park this summer, for a fee believed to be in the region of £13 million, but he has failed to live up to expectations since his switch to London.
He still has a lot to offer, however, and playing for an Everton side with Romelu Lukaku as the focal point of their attack could see the best brought out in Townsend.

The Belgian is the type of striker who would thrive off of the service that the 13-capped England international is capable of providing.
And by bringing Townsend to Goodison Park, Koeman would drastically improve his side’s chances of maintaining their position in the top seven of the Premier League table.
