West Bromwich Albion man Chris Brunt has been linked with a move to Middlesbrough recently.

Chris Brunt’s past defence of Tony Pulis’ managerial style makes interesting reading now that the West Bromwich Albion man has been linked with a move to Middlesbrough.
Brunt and Pulis worked together at the Hawthorns for a number of years, before the Welsh boss was sacked earlier this season.
And Brunt’s past comments about Pulis’ management suggest that a move could appeal, because he thinks the Boro boss is so effective at getting results.

“Sometimes it might not be the most entertaining, maybe that’s not the right word, but we do a job out there to get results,” Brunt said to the Birmingham Mail.
“You don’t manage that many league games in this country if you’re not doing a good job.
“When he came in we were struggling near the bottom of the table and he’s taken over and we’ve finished pretty comfortably safe the last two seasons.
“That’s what you can say.
“He’s a good, solid Premier League manager.”

Brunt has been with West Brom since 2007, but a clear out may be needed at the Hawthorns in the summer.
The Baggies look almost certain to be relegated next season, as they are currently rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.
Boro could now leapfrog them, as Pulis’s side have a chance at claiming a play off spot.
The Teessiders are currently in 6th place in the Championship table, but have plenty of promotion rivals breathing down their necks.
