After falling out of the FA Cup on Saturday at the hands of Burnley, Bristol City have endured another poor weekend of football, as the club slip closer towards the relegation zone in the league. Aden Flint
Signed from Swindon Town in 2013, Aden Flint was a massive (and not just in size) part of Bristol City’s emphatic promotion to the Championship, becoming both a rock at the back and also chipping in with a number of important goals. However, in recent months the big centre-back’s performances have dipped, and now Bristol City fans are debating whether the defender should be dropped. A shock move for many, Flint coming out of the team would certainly highlight just how much of a crisis the club are in.

Bristol City fans are also hoping their business in this January transfer window isn’t yet finished. Robins fans have been debating the position they most need to strengthen, with many arguing the club needs a proper out-and-out winger to add an injection of pace and directness to their side.

Luke Freeman

After confirming recently to the Bristol Post that he has done all he can to convince Luke Freeman to stay at the club, Bristol City manager Lee Johnson seems prepared for the departure of the Robins’ attacking midfielder. Freeman, who has failed to hold down a consistent place in Johnson’s side this season, looks to be departing for Ian Holloway’s QPR; a move that isn’t upsetting City fans too much. Largely under-performing of late, City fans don’t seem too devastated to be saying goodbye to a player who played such a pivotal role in their promotion to the Championship.
Steve Lansdown
After receiving a large fee for star striker Jonathan Kodjia in the summer from Aston Villa, many City fans are still eager to see Steve Lansdown sign off a big money replacement for their former forward. Goals from Tammy Abraham this season have supplanted those that the Robins might have missed without Kodjia, but as he is just a loan, a lot of City fans want to see an impressive permanent signing either in this window or, failing that, in the summer.
Lee Johnson – Should he stay or should he go?
After breaking the record for Bristol City’s most defeats in a row, the pressure is firmly on for Lee Johnson. Hovering just above the relegation zone, the Robins form has gone completely pear-shaped since December, and many City fans now feel that Lee Johnson’s time us up. However, there are still a portion who believe that the former Barnsley man should be given the chance to turn things around, and that any problems with the team are due to not reinvesting properly this month.
