Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are said to be keen to snap up Derby County defender Max Lowe.
Glasgow Rangers transfer target Max Lowe may just have some apologising to do if he does move to Ibrox this summer.
Rangers are said to be interested in signing the full-back from Derby County by the Daily Record, and that makes his comments from earlier this season very interesting.
Lowe started for his loan side Aberdeen against Rangers when the two sides met back in March and he was at the centre of the controversy.
Rangers and Aberdeen drew 1-1 on that occasion, but the match was notable for what happened off the ball.
Lowe tried to drag Rangers’ Scott Arfield back up to his feet, after accusing him of feigning injury, during the contest.
Glen Kamara ended up rushing over in support of his Rangers teammate and shoved Lowe.
And the Aberdeen loanee said to the Glasgow Evening Times after the match: ”I thought it was a 50-50 and Arfield made a lot of it. He tried to grab my leg and I just wanted my leg back. I stayed composed and tried to ignore it but a lot of their players seemed to make a lot of it.
“With the recent history there will be certain situations which arise. They do try to get in our heads.
“I’m not going to lie, I did understand why Kamara pushed me, but I didn’t do anything. None of our lads reacted to it.”
Lowe’s comments may make his initial reception at Ibrox a little frosty if he does move to Rangers.
But the young full-back could make a smart addition for Steven Gerrard’s side, if they can agree a deal with Derby.
