Tottenham Hotspur’s Ben Davies is reportedly drawing interest from Crystal Palace.
Reports emerged yesterday that Crystal Palace were interested in signing Spurs full-back Ben Davies on a loan deal in January, according to the Guardian.
Tottenham should use the Eagles’ reported interest in their Welsh international as leverage in a potentially bold move for Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men were desperately bereft of any kind of creativity or pace in the final third during their loss against Manchester United on Sunday, and their performance as a whole highlighted their need for further additions to the squad.

Zaha would be the ideal candidate, and although Palace would surely resist any kind of move for the 24-year-old, if Spurs offered Davies as bait, and a hefty transfer fee, it would not be beyond the realms of possibility.
The former Manchester United star has been a revelation for Pardew’s men so far this season, and is beginning to finally realise his true potential.
During 14 Premier League appearances for the South London outfit, he has scored three goals and provided six assists for his side.
If Spurs could somehow manage to secure a deal to bring him to the club, he would bring them something that they currently do not possess in wide areas.

He has blistering pace, along with an impressive array of tricks and skills. He also seems to have developed the finishing side of his game, and he is now far more clinical than he once was.
The Palace man would also fit the profile of a typical Tottenham signing – young and English with bags of potential.
If a move came to fruition in January, he could be just the addition that Spurs need to kick on and make sustained push for the top-four, or even the title.
