Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to comments from Brighton’s CEO Paul Barber.

Brighton’s senior figure has stated that he understands that his best players will eventually be sold and if they want to leave then ‘they can go’, as he told the Athletic.

This is what Arsenal fans want to hear because Bissouma is a name that many supporters would like to see at the Emirates next season.

Barber’s comments have made life easier for Arsenal, who need now test the waters of the South Coast club by putting in a bid for the 24-year-old’s services.

Football London have previously claimed that Mikel Arteta would like to see the midfielder at Arsenal, and in truth, the club need some serious talent on board after missing out on European football this season.

When Arsenal signed Thomas Partey last summer, even though he had a release clause in his contract, they waited until transfer deadline day to secure his talents.

Arsenal cannot afford to push such a deal as far as that because it will only frustrate the fans and they might not even get what they want.

Many factors are falling into Arsenal’s favour here, the comments from the CEO, Bissouma being a boyhood Gunner and the box-to-box midfielder also being good friends with Nicolas Pepe.

Either way, it does seem as though the ball is in the court of those in North London.

Here is a selection of Arsenal fans reacting to Barber’s comments:
