Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have completed the signing of Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.
The Italian journalist is claiming this morning that Liverpool and Brighton and Hove Albion have reached a full agreement on the transfer of Alexis Mac Allister.
Romano has added that the Argentina international midfielder will undergo a medical in the next 24 to 48 hours and will then put pen to paper on a contract with Liverpool.
The 24-year-old will sign a five-year deal with the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners, according to Romano.
Romano wrote on Twitter (11am, June 5, 2023): “Alexis Mac Allister to Liverpool, here we go! Full agreement completed on the contract — understand it will be valid until June 2028. Five year deal. #LFC
“Liverpool will pay the buy out clause in the next days, way less than reported £60m fee.
“Medical tests in 24/48h. Done.”

Smart move from Liverpool regarding Alexis Mac Allister
In our view, Liverpool are being extremely smart in getting a deal done for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister so early.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp clearly wants to bring new players in as soon as possible so that they can have a full pre-season with him.
And with clubs such as Manchester United reportedly interest in the Argentine star, Liverpool really did not have time to lose.
Mac Allister did extremely well for Argentina at the 2022 Qatar World Cup and helped his national team win the tournament.
The dynamic midfielder would be able to make an immediate impact at Liverpool and would get straight into the Reds’ starting lineup.
