
Rangers have to move fast to replace Steven Gerrard – and they have been.
According to Sky Sports, Giovanni van Bronckhorst has held talks with Rangers about succeeding Gerrard at Ibrox.
The latter quit the Gers this week to become Dean Smith’s replacement at Aston Villa.
The above report claims that the Dutchman – who played for the Scottish Premiership giants – held a meeting with the light Blues’ hierarchy in London.
And some Rangers fans on Twitter believe they saw Van Bronckhorst arriving in the English capital.
Some grainy footage has been doing the rounds on social media, but the location tallies up with Sky Sports‘ report.

Despite losing their manager mid-season, it could still be a fantastic campaign for the Gers.
And let’s face it, Van Bronckhorst would be a quality replacement.
We’re talking about a manager who led Feyenoord to an Eredivisie title a few years ago.
And given his pre-existing connection to Ibrox, that would make this appointment all the sweeter.
