Nottingham Forest seem to be closing in on another transfer coup.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Forest are finalising the signing of Felipe from Atletico Madrid.
Felipe would, of course, be the second Brazil international to join Forest from Atletico Madrid after Renan Lodi.
Felipe has been an instrumental figure for Atletico Madrid in recent years, playing a key role in their league title win back in 2020/21.
Interestingly, Forest could have three ex-La Liga winners in their team by the end of deadline day with Lodi, Felipe and potentially Keylor Navas.

The news of Felipe’s imminent arrival will not only excite the fans, but it will also boost the morale of the players, especially Lodi who was friends with Felipe in Madrid.
Indeed, the presence of such an experienced defender will surely help the entire team settle as they no longer have to worry as much about leaking goals.
Forest have been struggling in the league this season, but with Felipe joining the team, they will have a much better chance of remaining in the Premier League as they could begin to keep clean sheets at a much greater rate.
The transfer window has, once again, been a busy one for Nottingham Forest. The arrival of Felipe will be a welcome addition to the team and a clear indication of the club’s ambitions going forward – they want to be a Premier League team in the long-term.
Felipe is a player who has been a part of one of the best teams in Europe and has a wealth of experience under his belt. This will only help Forest in their quest to climb the table and compete with the established teams at this level.
It will be interesting to see how he fits into Steve Cooper’s plans and what impact he will have on the club. The transfer window is not over yet, and Forest fans will be hoping for more positive news as the dealdline approaches amid rumours of interest in Jonjo Shelvey and Keylor Navas.
