Al-Nassr have moved quickly over the last few days and now appear set to confirm two new signings imminently, according to reports.
The Saudi Pro League side seem to have narrowly avoided the proposed FIFA ban they were said to have received last week. They now look likely to make two new signings in the next few days.
They have already signed Marcelo Brozovic this summer who joined fellow European exports Cristiano Ronaldo and former Benfica star Talisca in Saudi Arabia this summer.
However in order to keep up with the other clubs in the league, Al-Nassr now find themselves chasing other high profile moves.
Fabrizio Romano has suggest that moves are imminent for two top players – as he gave both Alex Telles and Seko Fofana the ‘here we go’ catchphrase for a move to the Saudi Pro League.
Al-Nassr close in on two deals
On Twitter, Fabrizio Romano first suggested last night that Seko Fofana has already sat part of his medical tests with RC Lens receiving a fee in the region of €25m-€30m (£21.4m-£25.7m).
The 28-year-old joins up with Brozovic to create a midfield many European sides would envy, with the huge fee likely softening the blow for Lens.
Now this morning it seems Al-Nassr are already close to completing another deal. Romano tweeted:
“Al Nassr are closing in on deal to sign Alex Telles from Man United, here we go soon!”
He emphasised there is a verbal agreement in place, with no fee given as of yet.
He added that Al-Nassr are hopeful of both deals being concluded in the next few days.
Al Nassr spending continues
These deals come in addition to the reported interest in Moussa Diaby. The Saudi side are supposedly rivalling Aston Villa for the signature of coveted French winger Diaby.
It has even been suggested that they have matched a huge bid made by the Premier League side.
An ambitious summer, seems to have no end in sight as players continue to flock to join Ronaldo at Al-Nassr ahead of what promises to be a fascinating title race.
Al-Ittihad have signed multiple high level players including Karim Benzema and Ngolo Kante. The Saudi league could be one to watch next season.
