Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left frustrated after Sky Sports played down their chances of signing Kim Min-Jae from Beijing Guoan.
Reports in South Korea had suggested that the centre-back was on the verge of a move to Tottenham.
However, it seems that Min-Jae actually isn’t particularly close to signing for Spurs at all.
Sky say that Tottenham are interested in the powerful centre-back, but only a huge offer would convince his current employers to sell.
And Tottenham supporters are disappointed that they seem set to miss out on another target.
Jose Mourinho’s side may well now go after another centre-back, as they aim to strengthen in the summer.
Tottenham have improved defensively of late, with Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez both impressing, but a centre-back still seems a likely purchase this summer.
Spurs haven’t been entirely convincing at the back this term, and Mourinho will surely make it his priority to ensure his side are harder to beat next campaign.
