Eupen forward Henry Onyekuru has been quoted by the Daily Record as saying that he is in talks with a number of clubs as speculation over his future continues.
Onyekuru, 19, was a former member of the Aspire Academy in Qatar, before joining Belgian side Eupen in the summer of 2015, helping them win promotion to the Jupiler Pro Pleague last season.
This season, the Nigerian forward – who can play out wide or up front – has been one of the stars of the season in Belgium, notching 18 goals in all competitions and seven assists in the league.
With pace, trickery and an eye for goal, the teenager is unsurprisingly attracting major interest, with The Mirror claiming that Celtic and West Bromwich Albion will go head-to-head for his signature this summer.
Meanwhile, a recent report from the Daily Mail stated that Bournemouth, Liverpool and Southampton have all been monitoring Onyekuru, with a view to a possible move for him this summer.
With a fierce battle expected for his signature, Onyekuru has been starring in the Belgian play-offs, which could put Eupen in contention for a Europa League spot, and has been quoted by the Daily Record as saying that he will make a decision on his future when the play-offs are done.
Onyekuru has admitted that he has already decided that it’s time for him to leave Eupen this summer, and has agreed with the club that he will be moving on, with his dream to play in the Premier League possibly coming true.

However, Onyekuru did add that he has received an enquiry from a team in Scotland, presumably Celtic, hinting that the Bhoys still have a shot of landing their man this summer, having failed with a January bid.
“After the play-off, I will announce my decision,” said Onyekuru. “I have made my decision to leave. I have already agreed with Eupen that I am joining my new club after this season. I want to take the next step and play abroad. My ultimate aim is to one day play in the Premier League.”
“There have been many enquiries for me. From clubs in Scotland, England and Germany. I am negotiations right now with clubs. I believe I have had my best season, but I want to leave Eupen on a high and I would love to get as far up the table as possible before I leave. But it’s really been my first season in a major league and I know I still have a lot to learn,” he added.
