Celtic’s Kundai Benyu opened his account for Henrik Larsson’s side on Saturday.

Henrik Larsson is singing the praises of Celtic prospect Kundai Benyu after opening his account on loan on Saturday.
The 21-year-old left Celtic to join Larsson’s Helsingborgs side on a season-long loan earlier this year.
And Benyu, a midfielder, broke his duck at the eighth time of asking after scoring in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Falkenbergs.
Here’s what Hoops icon Larsson told The Scottish Sun: “He was very, very good and showed why he is a Celtic player. He’s had some problems with fitness, but his movement and finish was superb.
“He’s confident on the ball and helps us out both in attack and defence so we are delighted that we’ve got him. I expect him to kick on from his first start and first goal.”
At this stage, the London-born star really needs an outstanding loan spell to give him any chance of succeeding in Scotland.
Benyu hasn’t played a competitive match for Celtic since August 2017 and there is a feeling that he is becoming an unfulfilled talent at Lennoxtown, having arrived two summers ago.
Then again, he remains very young and certainly has time on his side to turn things around, but another problem he might encounter is the fact that Brendan Rodgers – who signed him – has left the club.
If he’s good enough then Neil Lennon will no doubt find a place for him going forward, but only if he proves that he wants to be part of the Northern Irishman’s plans long term.
