Aston Villa have really struggled in the Championship this season.
Aston Villa’s Henri Lansbury in action
Villa midfielder Henri Lansbury sat down for a light-hearted interview with the club’s official YouTube account, and named who is the most skilful player amongst the current Villa squad.
The 26-year-old made the move to Villa Park from Nottingham Forest in January, for a fee believed to be in the region of £2.75 million, but has failed to make any kind of noticeable impact in the 10 games that he has played for Steve Bruce’s side this term.
Lansbury hasn’t has the easiest of baptisms at his new club, despite their recent run of three consecutive wins, with his first 10 appearances yielding six defeats and a draw.
But the midfielder was in high spirits, when speaking to Aston Villa’s official YouTube account, and responded to a question asking him who is his most skilful teammate:
Albert Adomah of Aston Villa in action
“I would have to say Albert (Adomah). Albert’s got a lot in his locker. When he’s one on one with a defender you trust him to go past them.”
Bruce’s men are now surely resigned to another season in the Championship, with 17 points currently separating them and sixth placed Sheffield Wednesday.
But with so many new signings brought into the club over the past two transfer windows, there was always going to be a prolonged settling in period.
And next season will surely see a different Villa side to the one that has desperately disappointed this term.
