Newcastle United hitman Alexander Isak is a wanted man and Arsenal are one of the clubs sniffing around for his talents.
Arsenal missed out on the Premier League title to Manchester City on the final day of the season, whilst Newcastle will play no European football at all, despite finishing seventh.
Manchester United’s FA Cup win over Manchester City means that Erik ten Hag’s side go into the Europa League, Chelsea in the Conference League and Eddie Howe’s side will have more empty spaces in their calendar next season.
Even though Alexander Isak struck a remarkable 21 goals from 30 Premier League games, it still wasn’t enough for the injury-hit Newcastle side to repeat their top-four success of the previous campaign.
Now, fans are on edge because they fear they could lose their star players, with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal sniffing around, sources have told HITC they are huge fans of the player.
Midfielder Bruno Guimaraes and star striker Isak are the two everyone is talking about, with sources telling HITC that Real Madrid and PSG scouted the Brazil star this season.
Former midfielder Henri Lansbury, who has no love lost with Newcastle fans stemming back to his days in the Championship, issued a rather bizarre take on Isak moving to the Emirates.
It was suggested to him that Arsenal need to bring in a player like the 24-year-old this summer, but Lansbury feels that Isak isn’t established for that to happen, as he told Stadium Astro.
This is despite the Swedish star hitting 21 goals this term and ten goals in 22 matches during his debut campaign in English football.
Will Arsenal sign Alexander Isak?
“He’s an out-and-out striker,” said Lansbury about Isak. “He runs into channels. Comes to feet. He has been good this year.
On if he would like to see Isak at Arsenal: “I could see him fitting in. But I think Arsenal will go and get someone with a bit more about them. Not about them, but established.
On Isak having already performed in the Premier League: “I know, but I think Arsenal will look outside of the box.”

Newcastle United and Arsenal in the summer transfer market
If FFP wasn’t an issue, then you feel players like Isak and Guimaraes wouldn’t be going anywhere.
But there is that dark cloud lingering over St James’ Park and interested parties will be waiting outside and hoping to take advantage.

Both Isak and Guimaraes would be exciting signings for any team in the Champions League. They are worthy of playing at that level, as they proved this term.
For Arsenal, at least one of those players would increase their chances of beating the all-dominant Manchester City to the Premier League title.
But for Howe, if he keeps hold of both, then there is no reason why the club shouldn’t be fighting for the top four again next season.
