Henri Lansbury has admitted to the Birmingham Mail that he has found it tough at Aston Villa so far.
Lansbury was signed by Villa from Nottingham Forest during the January transfer window, and he has struggled to impress at his new club.
The central-midfielder has not been at his best in his first few Villa appearances, with Bruce’s side’s form very poor.
Villa did beat Derby County 1-0 in their most recent outing, but prior to that they were winless in 2017.
And Lansbury feels that the vast amount of additions that Villa made in January were the reason behind their struggles.
“It’s definitely tough. The gaffer has tried to bring in six new players, changing the team,” Lansbury said.
“It’s tough for the boys to get to know each other and you have seen that in some of the performances, with players running into positions they would not normally run to.”
Lansbury’s admission that Villa’s players have taken a while to settle, highlights a mistake which Bruce has already admitted to.
Bruce has claimed that he made too many changes too quickly, as he looked to get Villa out of trouble (BBC Radio West Midlands).
Villa’s long wait for a win has finally come to an end though, and the hope is that they can now build on their victory over Derby and move up the table.
Villa are next in action against Bristol City later this evening.
