Luis Suarez could face former club Liverpool with Barcelona this summer.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has admitted that he is looking forward to facing Luis Suarez when the Reds clash with Barcelona in a pre-season friendly this summer.
Both sides square off at Wembley on August 6 for the teams’ final game of the International Champions Cup – the first two outings will take place in California.

The encounter promises to be a little more significant than the usual jovial affair in pre season, with Suarez, arguably a Liverpool legend, set to take on his former club for the first time since joining the Catalans for £75 million in 2014.
The Uruguayan spent three years with Henderson on the red half of Merseyside, and the 25-year-old is relishing the prospect of facing his old friend and colleague once more.

“It’ll be good to be playing against Luis again,” he told the club’s official website.
“I’ve always spoken very highly of him – he’s one of the best players in the world. It’ll be good to be on the same pitch as him again, but obviously on opposite teams.”
To say Suarez has gone on to bigger and better things would be a slight understatement. Since leaving, he has managed to help Barcelona to six major trophies – including the Champions League title in 2015 – and has netted 83 goals in the past two seasons.
He helped Liverpool mount a serious Premier League title challenge in 2014, in which they were pipped to the post by Manchester City, who finished one point ahead of them, and left that summer.
