Jordan Henderson has said that he has noticed how hungry and determined Liverpool’s players are in the first few days of training, on the club’s official website.

Liverpool have enjoyed a pre-season camp in Austria, as they prepare for the new Premier League campaign.

Liverpool won their first ever Premier League title last term, but the time for celebration is now over.

And Henderson says that he believes Liverpool’s players are determined to repeat the success of last season, as he has seen promising signs in training.

“We’ve been cracking on, really working hard,” he said.

“New season, new start and a lot more things we want to go on and achieve.

“[I’m] really excited to see what we can do this season, another big season for us. Hopefully we can take confidence from the last year or two but we need to stay hungry and need to keep the desire to go and want more.

“I can certainly see that from the first days that I’ve watched training in pre-season.”

Liverpool begin their Premier League campaign with a game against Leeds United on September 12th.

Before that they face Arsenal tomorrow in the Community Shield final, which should highlight where the Reds are at going into the new campaign.

Liverpool have had a fairly quiet so far summer so far, with Kostas Tsimikas their only addition to date.
