Aston Villa hero Cameron Archer has praised Conor Hourihane for aiding him in last night’s 6-0 win against Barrow.
Speaking to the club’s official website, the 19-year-old attacker noted how the Republic of Ireland midfielder was helpful in Villa’s massive result over the League Two side.
Archer bagged a hat-trick in a night to remember for the youngster.
Birmingham Live reported earlier in the window that Dean Smith is eager to sell Hourihane this window. However, no offers are yet to come in for the midfielder, with the 30-year-old taking the armband for Villa against Barrow.
Despite rumours of a potential exit, Hourihane was impressive on the night. And Archer noted how much the experienced midfielder aided him on the night.
Archer said: “They helped me a lot. Conor Hourihane kept talking to me on the pitch all the time. When I moved to left wing, Tigs (Matt Targett) helped me a lot as well.”

It was a breakout performance for Archer, who is one of many Villa youngsters who have a real shot of establishing themselves in the first-team under Smith.
And with the attacker bagging a hat-trick on his first start for the club, Archer will doubt earn more chances in the Villa senior team this season.
The Villains will find out later tonight who they will face off against in the third round of the League Cup.
